I Know a Healing Tree



I know a healing tree. 
She is tall and strong. 
Her roots run deep into Mother Earth 
Pulling up sacred energy and 
Moving it ever upward.
She is well grounded, 
But never weighed down.

I know a healing tree.
Her trunk is curvy and tall,
Exuding expectant inspiration.
Her very girth and roundness 
Invites me into her realm.
Within she shelters those in need
Protecting them from harm.

I know a healing tree.
Her limbs are many, varied in size;
Witness to experiences, vast and numbered,
Of memories made and loves lost.
Reaching always heavenward
Seeking the healing Light, 
To share with those around her.

I know a healing tree.
Constantly giving hope and love,
Nurture and comfort.
She touches and inspires me -
To know my roots and grounding,
To embrace my body fully,
To stretch my heart to Spirit.

I know a healing tree
